Florida Woman Writes Her Own Obituary and It’s Goes Viral
A 69-year-old woman in Orange Park, Florida named Emily Phillips lost her battle with pancreatic cancer last week. But her obituary in the Jacksonville Times-Union has gone viral because she wrote it herself, and it's pretty awesome. She basically narrated her life, threw in a lot of humor and advice, and talked about dancing NAKED.
Towards the end of her obituary, she wrote:
So … I was born; I blinked; and it was over. No buildings named after me; no monuments erected in my honor. But I DID have the chance to know and love each and every friend as well as all my family members. How much more blessed can a person be?”She then urged others to make the most out of their lives and “never stop smiling.”
Her daughter said she “couldn’t be more proud of my mom.
