An assistant professor at the University Of Maine has created chopsticks that deliver an electric pulse to a person's tongue, according to IEEE Spectrum. This shock to the mouth supposedly enhances the flavor of food without adding salt. And by changing the frequency, foods could be made to taste salty, sour or bitter. The news report says the chopsticks could even be made into a fork.
