Don’t Pay More For “Cage Free” and “Hormone Free” Turkeys!

I'm all for "Free Range, Non GMO, Grass Fed, Hormone Free" food. But sometimes marketers put unnecessary labels on products because they know they can charge more. 

A great example of this can be found in the deli section of your local grocery store. According to the Detroit News, the terms "Cage Free" and "Hormone Free" are meaningless when referencing Turkey's. The reason being, ALL Turkey's are raised cage-free and it's illegal to use hormones on Turkey's in the US.

So when your making your shopping list for the impending Thanksgiving feast, don't get sucked into this marketing scheme and pay more for your Turkey when you don't need to!
