Does this picture upset you at all? This new father/soldier wanted to display his pride in his country and his new baby but instead started a viral controversy. Here's why...

The American flag stands for freedom and soldiers put their lives on the line to protect that for us every day. Rodney Clevenger, a sailor is seen cradling his new baby in old glory. Little did he or photographer Vanessa Hicks from Virginia think that would cause a fire storm from angry people on social media.

According to Hicks, this message is what sparked a viral controversy about the flag and it's purpose...

“This flag is a symbol of everything my son died for many years ago. It was of the utmost honor to have a flag laid upon your coffin as my son did. That honor is taken away when disrespectful photographers throw our flag code out the window,” says a message appearing on the page of “You Call Yourself a Photographer?” “Mr. Clevenger, you have disgraced our fallen soldiers as well by disobeying that code. "This flag is a symbol of everything my son died for many years ago. It was of the utmost honor to have a flag laid upon you coffin as my son did. That honor is taken away when disrespectful photos throw our flag code out the window. You call yourself a photographer?"

So here's the question. Is this disrespectful?
