Born with the love for all things radio, I've been in the biz for at least 20 years and ALL have been with WHOM and sister station Q97.9 (and in recent years the addition of WBLM and WCYY). Catch me nights on HOM as well as at all four station-noted events as I also serve as the marketing director and am out and about quite a bit. I also assist in the day to day programming of WHOM and Q97.9 as I have such a passion for music and the overall imaging and sound of a radio station and it’s flow! Yup
I was born and raised in a small town outside Nashville, and country music was always in my ear. I am a single sassy lady, making my way in Maine! I moved to Massachusetts with my mom when I was 19, went to college, and picked radio as my career. I moved to Maine in 2005 for a radio job, and have been here since. Holy smokes, time flies! I have grown up and learned a lot about this life! But, we all have a path to follow, and while I was away from radio for a little while, mine has brought me back to where I belong, back on the air! I am stoked to have you listening, and to bring some good 'ole fun into your life!
I'm incredibly fortunate to have been working in radio in New England for over 15 years. I've developed some great relationships and made remarkable memories along the way. Music has always been my passion. I play guitar, bass, and drums, and have recently been learning some piano. I have two daughters who mean the world to me. I love to get outside - running, hiking, and camping - usually with my dog Sandy. I have a horrible golf game, but enjoy it anyway! And in the winter, I love to ski
I started my entertainment career in television as a teenager, growing up on a military base in Seoul, South Korea. I first appeared as a singer and dancer on a hit TV show called "Young Parade," and I hosted an evening rock show on AFN, where I fell in love with radio. After high school, I moved to San Antonio, Texas, to attend college. I lucked out with a job offer to do the evening show at AC station, KSSR, while still in school. I eventually moved to middays on the legendary classic hits station KONO
My love of radio began at age 6, when my parents pulled me from brain-melting TV and dropped a reel-to-reel in my lap. I immediately recruited friends to voice parts in McDonald’s commercials. While attending a northern NH high school, I created my own internship at WZPK (the original Peak FM), before beginning a colorful scholastic career at Lyndon State College. I continued to travel to North Conway to do live shows on the Peak, all while earning an Associate's of Science in TV production, a minor in graphic design, and a Bachelor’s of Science in communications/radio performance, scriptwriting and production
I feel beyond lucky to be on the air everyday! I have been performing in community theater all my life and still like to participate in and see live theater whenever I can! It was my love of theater that led me to radio because being on the radio is performing in a sense. The only difference is you get to play the role of yourself! In my spare time I love going to concerts, eating anything that involves cheese and taking group fitness classes (to offset all the cheese
