Did You Know That Squirrels Can Swim? I Had No Idea!

Maybe I'm just in the dark here, but I had no idea that squirrels can swim! Check out this Facebook video, posted by Jonathan Carter Fishing. This little guy is moving through the water like he's been doing it all his whole life.

Turns out that swimming squirrels are in fact quite rare. In an interview with the Bangor Daily News, Carter says that until this year, he'd only seen a swimming squirrel once before. But this summer alone, he's seen six!

Did you know that squirrel's can swim? Please tell me you didn't, so I don't feel so dumb!
