It felt like summer today. But was it warm enough to set a record?

When I stepped outside onto our One City Center patio in Downtown Portland earlier today, I couldn't believe my eyes. The Time & Temperature building read 75 degrees!

I knew we were supposed to have a high around 70 today, but 75? On April 11th? WOW!

Now granted, this is directly in the sun. So it's what most would call an unofficial reading. But still, I was curious how it would measure up to the record.

According to weather.com, the official record high for Portland, Maine on April 11th is 77 degrees, set in 1947.

So we were CLOSE, but not quite there. Still, a very warm day for this time of the year!!
