Serious financial troubles are putting the future of the 140 year old fair in doubt.

According to WMUR, The Rochester Fair, one of the oldest annual fairs in the state, may be forced to end this year due to looming debt.

Due to declining attendance and rising costs, the fair hasn't turned a profit in more than a dozen years.

I love fairs! I think they're a lot of fun for both children and adults. And I love the fact that New Hampshire has so many great ones that have been around for so many years.

Let's hope this isn't the beginning of a trend.

Members of the Rochester Fair board will meet in a few weeks to decide it's fate.
