Spring is upon us, and technically starts at 12:30am on March 20th. We have had an unseasonably warm winter, and no complaints here; feels like Spring started weeks ago. There is a chance for some snow on Monday March 21st, depending on how the storm tracks. So, could be one last blast from mother winter. After that, it's smooth sailing into Summer. But, you know it's Spring, when you start to see the flowers start to bloom. Nothing is more beautiful, than seeing those first spots of green coming out of the earth. Have have purple and white speckled tulips growing along my apartment building, and they make me smile.

One place to enjoy the flowers of Spring is the Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine. The flower and plant caregivers have been preparing now for the garden's opening on April, 15th.
