Fall is a wonderful time to get out explore New England.  Many of the tourists are gone and the colors create a beautiful contrast to take photos.

One of my favorite places to go is Truro on Cape Cod.  It's one of my ancestral homelands where my great grandmother was born and her ancestors settled after stepping off the Mayflower.  Now is the time of year that wildlife takes over.  The blue heron can be seen flying low over the marsh.  The sea ducks fish in the tidal Pamet River.  While walking a narrow beach that threads between woods and marsh, I saw the marks of the coyotes that live in the area.  I've been photographing the area for decades and can see the changes...new houses being built, shifting sands and trees growing.
