According to the Kennebec Journal, the Wal-Mart in Palmyra is being locked down due to the report of a suicidal person with a gun in the Palmyra Wal-Mart parking lot.

A Wal-Mart employee has confirmed at 11 a.m. this morning that the store was in lock down.

Both U.S. Route 2 entrances to the store parking lot have been blocked off and law enforcement officers from the Maine State Police, Somerset County Sheriff's Office and local police are on the scene.

The incident ended around 1 this afternoon with a 28-year-old Corrina man being taken from his truck and arrested.
