Wanna get away from this cold and snow stormy weather? Boy, do I have an island for you!

Jost Van Dyke is a little island amongst The British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. It's the quintessential vacation spot, as I'm sure you can surmise from the picture I took just three days ago.

Believe it or not, it's fairly easy and cheap to get to!

Jost Van Dyke is quiet enough for the vacationer who wants to relax and fun enough if you want to party.

The Soggy Dollar Beach Bar has a world famous "Pain Killer" in different varieties from Mango, Raspberry and Vanilla. The Pain Killer is the island drink everyone knows. A special mix with rum and garnished with shaved nutmeg.

The One Love Beach Bar I'd located at the far end of the beach and serves delicious Caribbean lobster salad for lunch and the creamiest most delicious Bushwhackers I've ever tasted. A Bushwhacker is also a well known island drink that tastes more like a chocolate milkshake.

If you want to relax on a hammock while listening to the soft roll of crashing waves and rustling palm trees. Ivan's Stress Free Beach Bar is far away from the crowds and a great spot for introverts to recharge.

Jost is the most beautiful island I've ever visited. To get there, just book your flight to St Thomas, head straight to Red Hook jump on a Ferry and spend the day. You will not regret it and your cold weary bones with thank you for the much needed relaxation : )

From Boston I flew Jet Blue roundtrip NONSTOP for under $400. It costs about $70 for the ferry which stops in St John. On the way home you can stop for dinner in St John and do some shopping. It only takes about 20 mins between islands and the views are breathtaking.

The only problem? Lobster is anywhere from $35-70. But Caribbean lobster is not as sweet or delicious as it is here!
