The charity group Band Aid was originally formed by legendary record producer Bob Geldof to help raise money for anti-poverty efforts in Ethiopia. The song "Do They Know It's Christmas" was recorded and released with the intention of donating the proceeds from sales to the charity. The sales exceeded everyone's expectations and became the most popular Christmas song that year! Some of the many artists in the original recording include Bono, Phil Collins, George Michael, Simon Lebon, Sting, Paul Young, David Bowie and many many more!

To commemorate the 30th anniversary, Bob Geldof gathered some of today's popular music artists to record "Band Aid 30, Do They Know It's Christmas 2014."  The new recording features artists like Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheerhan, Sam Smith, Olly Murs, Bono, One Direction, Rita Ora, Bastille and more and the charity has a new twist, the fight to end the spread of the Ebola virus.
