Back Cove 2014 [Photos]
First week back exercising around Portland’s Back Cove AKA “The Blvd”. Here’s my journey:
For those who walk/jog along the Back Cove know it’s a God sent 3 1/2 miles with some pretty cool Portland views. I usually don’t take phone/camera. I use this time to daydream about hitting the Powerball, think of stuff for the show, jam out to some Springsteen and just veg. This time I thought I would take some pics and hopefully turn some of you on to a lil slice of Heaven right in our back yard.
For some reason I always go counter clockwise. I have to. Do you?
Do you use the Back Cove?
Windy today and most days. Thought it’s 50 still a brisk wind from the NW. I’m already tired.
I usually see some cool dogs. Not a lot of action right now. It’s lunch time. 1pm ish.
I actually did a little running too. As far as you know-
1 mile mark. Not quite as bad as Sunday. That was my first time this year. I went to 1 mile then turned around for the mile back. Baby steps people. It was a long winter-
Pic doesn’t do this view of Casco Bay justice. From the top of Tukey’s Bridge connecting the neighborhoods of Munjoy Hill and East Deering.
You can scour the internet and I bet you won’t find a selfie w/ The B&M Baked Beans Factory.
Less windy on this side because of the wind direction today. New waste baskets too.
2 miles. Ugh….Nice day though. Beats -5
Great views of Portland over this side. Low tide smell though.
Mile 3. Someone have the EMTs on stand by-
Just because you put your dogs shit next to the bottom of a tree doesn’t mean you cleaned it up. UGH
I made it! 4th day in a row too. I think I deserve a glass of Guinness!
Hope to see you out there-
