"My husband never listens to me. Instead, he's always trying to fix my problems when I tell him about them...and that's not what I want! How do I get him to listen?"

- Libby

It seems to me that the problem is not that he isn't listening. He's listening to your problems, and he wants to help fix them!

Here's the thing - the two of you are married, so you're very much one unit. You should be working together to solve problems... yours and his! He wants to help because he loves you, so you should accept it.

Obviously you're an independent person, and there's nothing wrong with that. Just try to be more open to what he's saying. Also, be there for him when he has problems!
