Are there Volcanoes in Maine?

Imagine...super volcanoes erupting with hot lava, destroying everything in it's path...right here in Maine? Believe it...it's true!

According to Fox News, the volcanoes in Maine produced some of the biggest eruptions EVER. Around 420 million years ago, the thick piles of ash and lava fragments helped form what we now know as the East Coast.

It's fascinating to think about. Today, Maine is so peaceful and serene...but at one time long ago, it's not a place you would want to be!
