Animal Refuge League Holiday Open House Helping to Raise Funds for New Shelter

It was a grand time at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland's Holiday Open House.  Even though it was a cold rainy day, people came out to show their support for the organization. Many brought their dogs to have their photos taken with Santa.

The open house was held in a quaint old barn across the street from the shelter. It was festively decorated. I continue to be amazed by the passion, commitment and support of the volunteers and workers at the shelter.  They are there for the animals, doing their best to find a healthy happy home for their furry friends. The holiday open house is a major fundraiser for the shelter.  They are currently trying to raise 6 million dollars for a new shelter.  An incredible 4 million has already been raised.  They will welcome your help in any way!
