George Smith Talks About ‘A Life Lived Outdoors’ [Audio]

George Smith is one of those legendary Mainers. Many remember him as director of the Sportsmen's Alliance of Maine. He's written for just about every publication in the state and now he's out with a new book, "A Life Lived Outdoors" from Islandport Press.

George's book is full of great stories about camp, food, the great outdoors and family. It's the perfect book for summer reading at the lake or beach. If you're from away, you'll want to take this book back home to have a piece of Maine with you. George joined us in the 94.9 HOM studio.  He is extremely friendly and personable. We could have talked for hours. He is an amazing man who continues to write for the Kennebec Journal, Bangor Daily News and others. He's also co-host of Wildfire, which can be viewed on Time Warner Cable channel 9.
