5 Best Selling Authors from NH

I am a big reader and have a book club with some gal pals back in Boston (depicted above!) Book Club is really just an excuse to get together to drink wine, giggle and occasionally engage in an intellectual discussion. I was curious to see what best selling authors are from the granite state so I could suggest some of their works for my book club. There are actually quite a few!

Jodi Picoult

One of my favorite authors has lived most of her life in Hanover NH! Her best sellers include Change of Heart, My Sister's Keeper and my personal favorite The Pact. The Pact is one of those books with crazy plot twists and turns and at the end of each chapter you find yourself screaming out loud "WHAAT???!!" I highly recomend.

Robert Frost

This well known poet's career really took off when he lived in Franconia NH. He even won his first pulitzer prize for his book called New Hampshire: A Poem with Notes and Grace Notes. Some of his other well known poems include The Road Not Taken, The Woods and Mending Wall. 

John Irving

The best selling author of Cider House Rules and A Widow For One Year grew up in Exeter NH. Many of his books and short stories are set in and around Philips Exeter Academy in Exeter.

David Elliot

David Elliot is a children's author from Warner NH. His best sellers include Finn Throws a Fit, And Here's To You and What the Grizzly Knows.

Sarah Silverman

Sarah is obviously best known for her writing and appearances on Saturday Night Live as well as her movie roles in School of Rock and A Million Ways to Die in the West.  But this Bedford NH born funny gal actually wrote a best selling autobiography called "The Bedwetter" and it is hysterical.
